Check whether treatment is needed
Pest control is not an automatic extra for every bond clean. Queensland responsibilities depend on the starting condition, why pests are present and any reasonable conditions agreed when pets were approved. Read the RTA guidance rather than relying on a generic “all tenants must fumigate” rule.
A flea treatment is not every kind of pest control
Tell the provider which pest is involved, whether you have seen activity, and where it occurs. A requested flea treatment, cockroach treatment and termite assessment are different services. Ask which areas and pests the quote covers and whether a follow-up is part of it.
Coordinate pets, cleaning and access
Ask the provider when people and animals can return, what preparation is needed and how the treatment should be scheduled around vacuuming or carpet cleaning. Follow their product-specific instructions; do not use a fixed waiting time from an unrelated website.
Keep a clear record
