Does moving out mean you need a professional carpet clean?

Tell the cleaner what is on the carpet

Give the number of carpeted rooms, stairs and any rugs you want quoted separately. Describe pet accidents, odours, spills and stains, and tell the cleaner if you know the carpet material. A routine clean and a stain treatment are different jobs; ask what result is realistic before agreeing to extra work.

Method, access and drying

Ask whether the provider proposes hot-water extraction, often called steam cleaning, or another method suitable for the carpet. Check when the rooms can be walked on or furniture returned. Drying depends on the method, airflow and conditions, so do not assume it will be ready immediately.

For an apartment, confirm lift access and parking for equipment. For a house, mention stairs and any rooms far from the entry. Arrange this around your move-out clean and key return.

Check the written quote

Confirm room sizes, hallways, stain treatments, furniture moving and any travel charges. Keep the receipt and photos of the cleaned rooms. They record the work done, but do not guarantee a bond outcome.
